This department administers all of the Motor Taxation, Driving Licence and Small Public Service Vehicle Licensing functions for Waterford City.

NOTE : Outside the city boundary, these functions are handled in the motor taxation office in Dungarvan (County Council Offices).

We also carry out a broad range of associated functions which include :

•  Processing of change of ownership of vehicles
•  Issuing certificates of roadworthiness for relevant vehicles
•  Updating changes of particulars for vehicles
•  Registering owners of vehicles

Also available in the Motor Taxation Office are information brochures in relation to Driving Licences and Motor Taxation and a OneTouch computerised information system. We also have a photo booth to facilitate completion of driving licence and Small Public Service Vehicle applications.
